Emzin: Alternatives
Issue Year: XXIII, number: 3-4, December 2013
Alternatives are the basis of every social change and represent the ability to imagine and act "differently". Alternative does not arise by force, it arises by itself when the situation of people in everyday life become unbearable and demands change. But alternative does not always need to be radical or completely opposite and incompatible with the existing concepts. In addition to radical alternatives there exist many different "otherness." We can talk about alternative modes of artistic creation, alternatives in the economy, alternatives in the society in general. In any case, alternative means doing something "differently" and represents a constant effort, a process in which one chooses repeatedly for a different, often more severe path.
